Andrew serves as Underwriting Counsel for Fidelity National Title’s New York National Commercial Services (NCS) operation providing solution focused underwriting. He began his career with Fidelity in 2020 at the Westbury, Long Island office underwriting a mix of local New York residential and commercial transactions. In 2022, he transitioned to the New York NCS office focusing on some of the largest national and New York commercial transactions.

Prior to joining Fidelity, Andrew worked at several law firms as an associate attorney and an underwriting counsel for a major title underwriter and two different abstract companies. He applies his exceptional expertise and customer service to managing, underwriting, and closing complex commercial transactions throughout the United States. Andrew negotiates insurance coverage, PSA terms, escrow provisions and endorsement issuance, and reviews recordable instruments. He works closely with our offices and counsel nationwide to ensure compliance with state specific underwriting practices. Andrew provides settlement and funding services to lenders and clients facilitating purchase and refinance transactions and advises clients to structure transactions to maximize transfer tax and mortgage tax savings.

Andrew is the author of “Advice for Attorneys: Employment Rights for Cancer Patients,” The New York County Lawyer, February 2013 Edition. He volunteers as an attorney mentor for students participating in the Nassau County Bar Association’s Middle School Mentoring Program at Turtle Hook Middle School in Uniondale, New York. Andrew also serves as a trustee of the Doris Marshall Foundation Scholarship Fund based at St. George’s Episcopal Church in Hempstead, New York. He has a B.A. from Columbia University, and earned his J.D. from Fordham University (Paul Fuller Scholar).
 
Andrew lives on Long Island with his wife and daughter. He enjoys nature, hiking and cycling as a leader and Executive Committee member of the Appalachian Mountain Club, New York Chapter. Andrew also enjoys painting landscapes and portraits with oils and watercolors, aeromodelling, and astronomy.
